I'm Megan Zara, a PhD student, practitioner, and founder of The Open Practice Academy. I spent years inside faculty development, curriculum design, and organizational change, and I kept noticing the same pattern. The problem was rarely that people didn't want to change. It was that the conditions around them never made change possible.

I call this human-scale design: building teams, systems, and learning experiences sized to the humans inside them, not the other way around. My work sits at the intersection of scholarship and practice, curious more often than certain, concrete more often than abstract.

I teach what I've built, and I build what I've lived.
